Karis School, Pune
In September 2011 I made my first visit to Karis Pre School, Pune where I conducted two seminars. The first one was “The benefits of activity based learning to language development in pre school children” where teachers spent time trying some language activities and deciding if they were improving social, emotional, physical, or intellectual development.
The second seminar examined “The importance of early recognition and intervention for children with SEN” and the effectiveness of Early Intervention programmes.
Teachers particularly commented on the usefulness of the activities used in the seminar on Activity based learning – many suggesting that they will be able to incorporate these ideas in their teaching methods.
