King’s School Kerala
In June 2011 I visited King’s School, Kollam where I spent time assessing children, advising parents and conducting a day’s seminar on “Understanding the Special Educational Needs of our learners”
Teachers and parents worked together on increasing their knowledge of how a child’s learning environment, their life experiences and personal ability contribute to a child’s success in school. One session examined the types of Special Educational Needs that may be found in a regular class and offered strategies for teachers on how to support these children.
